We invite you to join us online for our side event at ECOSOC Partnership Forum 2025 entitled Unleashing the power of public-private philanthropy partnerships for transformational development on Tuesday, 4 February 2025 / 08.00 – 09.00h EST.
The side event will explore the power of people-centric public private philanthropy partnerships (PPPPs) to deliver systemic change.
The event will feature the Laudes Foundation-initiated Regenerative Production Landscape Collaborative (RPLC). RPLC has built transformational partnerships in Tanzania, Pakistan, Brazil, and India. These partnerships are transforming agricultural landscapes into sustainable ecosystems, enhancing production systems and environmental health, and connecting farmers to international value chains.
A panel, which will include partners from these landscapes, will reflect on how the combination of public, private, and people resources and levers is delivering transformation. The powerful catalytic role of philanthropy in making it happen will be highlighted alongside the roles of partners from the other sectors.
Participants will hear about and discuss the success factors and barriers for developing and implementing partnerships such as RPLC, and consider how to enable and drive multi-sectoral collaboration far more systematically. The enablers and barriers to collaboration, including between government and philanthropic organisations, will each be considered, as will research on how to scale up multi-stakeholder collaboration far more ambitiously and systematically than at present.
This online event is co-organised by WINGS, UN DESA and The Partnering Initiative.
