Who are we?

The Partnering Initiative is The Partnering Initiative is an independent not-for-profit at the forefront of driving innovative cross-sectoral collaborative action for a sustainable future.

How do we collect information from you?

We collect information about you when you subscribe to your newsletter online, sign up to our mailing list or request information on our courses. We will also hold information about you in the course of carrying out any work with or for you or your organisation or if you have responded to any surveys carried out by TPI in the course of its work.

Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

How will we use the information about you?

We will only use your information to:

  • Respond to a request from you
  • Notify you of new TPI courses
  • Keep you updated with news from TPI and the world of Partnering

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or share your information with third parties beyond TPI for marketing purposes or other purposes unless you have requested us to do so.

Third party data processors

Our TPI Associates may have access to your information solely in line with any requests you have made to us, or work we are carrying out with you or your organisation. They will not have access for any marketing purposes. If you have signed up to our Newsletter or to receive information on TPI courses, your data will be held by Mailchimp who act as a data processor. Mailchimp are committed to achieving compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation and you can contact them on privacy@mailchimp.com for any questions regarding your data.

Marketing

You have a choice about whether or not you want to receive information from us. We will not contact you for marketing purposes unless you have given your prior consent. If you not longer want to receive communication from us you can let us know by emailing info@thepartneringinitiative.org

Accessing and updating your information

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. You can request the data in different formats for your own use and reuse with other service providers. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email info@thepartneringinitiative.org

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.

You can also request us to permanently remove some, or all, of the information that we hold about you. If you would like us to remove your records please email us at info@thepartneringinitiative.org

Use of ‘cookies’

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. This information is used to track visitor use of the website. You can set your browser not to accept cookies.

Transferring your information outside of Europe

The information which you provide us with may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). By way of example, our cloud storage providers hold servers in the US, or, if you complete a survey with us, the servers for the survey platform are currently located in countries outside of the EEA. If we transfer your information outside the EEA, we will take steps to ensure that the country also ensures an adequate level of protection and your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlines in this policy.

The Partnering Initiative collects personal information when you contact us. We will use this information to respond to your request, and, if you agree, to send you marketing information. We will not share your information with companies outside The Partnering Initiative.
