Tom Harrison
Tom Harrison has over 30 year’s experience in sustainable development. He has a long interest in multi-stakeholder partnership, which arose from his early work leveraging the power of business to contribute to development. Tom’s main interest now is making partnering more effective through developing evidence-based best practice. He is skilled in research and analysis, and is an effective facilitator and writer. He is also known for leading private sector development programmes for INGOs and donors, including designing, managing, and evaluating market-systems development programmes.
While he has forgotten much of what he learnt while completing his three Masters degrees, he still has a love for tropical agriculture, and tea production in particular. He points to his MBA as being particularly formative in his understanding of the private sector, finance, and governance. He has also been lucky enough to live and work in a variety of countries in Africa and Asia.
Tom and his wife enjoy travelling and seeing their three grown up children. In his spare time he is an artist and print maker. He also plays his double bass in a symphony orchestra near his home in Surrey.
