The SDG Partnership Accelerator Guidebook – PRE-RELEASE

TPI is delighted to pre-release a major new publication, developed jointly with UN DESA, as part of the Partnership Accelerator: The SDG Partnership Guidebook.

The Guidebook aims to convey the magic of how multi-stakeholder partnerships at country level can deliver significantly towards the Sustainable Development Goals and provide guidance on how to build robust, effective collaborations that can achieve extraordinary results.

The Guidebook sets out the key Building Blocks of successful partnerships and the underlying processes – from initial stakeholder engagement to partnership review – necessary to develop and keep those Building Blocks in place and to maximise partnership impact. Along with frameworks to help organisations understand, identify and select the most appropriate forms of collaboration, the Guidebook includes a series of tools that support organisations through each step of partnership development and management. It also provides guidance on the more in-depth, trickier, but essential, partnering aspects – including trust, power imbalances, and the frustrations and challenges of working across different organisational cultures.

The Guidebook was due to be released at the High-level Political Forum in July 2020, but a working version has been released in response to the urgency of the COVID-19 crisis and the desperate need for more and better collaboration across sectors.
