The meeting of the United Nations’ High-level Political Forum (HLPF) on sustainable development will be held from Tuesday, 7 July, to Thursday, 16 July 2020 – virtually. The HLPF annual meeting is the core UN platform for follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This HLPF will debate where member states stand on the SDGs in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and reflect on how the international community can respond in a way that accelerates sustainable development. It will also feature voluntary national reviews (VNRs) of SDG progress by 47 countries.
With partnerships as an essential mechanism to deliver the SDGs, TPI works extensively with the UN system to support collaboration, including through the Partnership Accelerator programme with UNDESA, UN Office of Partnerships, UN Global Compact, and UN DCO. As part of the HLPF, please join UNDESA and TPI at three events on partnering: two on Tuesday 7th July, and a VNR lab on Tuesday 14th July, 2020.
