Sawsan started her career in the business sector, moving to international development in 2005. As a partnership broker with over 10 years experience in the profit and non-profit sectors, she is experienced in overseeing and directing organizational programs -Including training and management, negotiating and communicating with varying sectors, and strategically devising and implementing processes to increase organizational outreach and effects.
Sawsan has an extensive experience of working in Africa and the Middle East and is currently based in Nairobi.
Previously working with Plan International’s East and South Africa regional office, Sawsan build corporate partnerships and created the internal structures for supporting innovative and sustainable partnerships in the region. She has most recently worked with KimMNCHip a consortium of INGOs, corporate sector companies and the ministry of Medical Services in Kenya to provide m-health services to pregnant women and mothers with young children.
Sawsan is an accredited partnership broker and also holds an MA in Local and Regional Development from the Institute of Social Studies. She is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
