Peter Reid works as a trainer and coach with organisations in the private, public and non-profit sectors. He helps clients take a strategic and practical approach to change and development and is passionate about helping organisations, communities and leaders discover and commit to a sustainable future for themselves. He has designed and facilitated workshops and learning events in Europe, SE Asia and East Africa for a wide range of clients including finance, IT and manufacturing companies, government departments and healthcare authorities, and international development agencies and some of their partner organisations. He has recently worked with CAFOD as head of organisational development, where he designed and introduced a leadership programme as well as a range of strategic learning and development workshops. He has worked on partnership projects with the British Council, Cambridge Sustainability Partnership and CAFOD partners in East Africa, among others.
Other clients have included Johnson Matthey, Colt Telecom, UBS, ABN Amro, SKF, Oxfam, The Royal Opera House, Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, The World Bank, UK Department of Transport, HM Revenue & Customs, King’s Healthcare NHS Trust and Skandia Insurance.
Peter has a BA Hons in German and a PGCE. He is a qualified practitioner of Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and is a certified NLP trainer. He has trained as a coach with ITS (London), accredited by the International Coaching Federation. He is accredited through the Partnership Broker Accreditation Scheme (PBAS). Before becoming a full-time coach and trainer he was a languages teacher, a UK civil servant, and a faculty member at Ashridge Business School. He loves working in an international multicultural environment and speaks fluent French and German, and reasonable Spanish and Swedish, as well as English.
He is also a committed campaigner for wider understanding of sustainable development for communities, organisations and individuals, and is also chair of UK trustees of an international NGO working for peacebuilding and sustainability. He lives in the Languedoc region of France.
