An escalation of events and protests in 2020 triggered a widespread self-reflection on the topics of race, diversity, and privilege. This self-reflection prompted internal discussions at TPI, and led to ‘diversity’ being included as an area of work for the TPI team to strengthen.
By May 2021, a Diversity Statement was presented and approved by TPI’s Board of Trustees, charting a strong path forward on how we as a team commit and aspire to continually improve our diversity.
Diversity is critical for us to promote our values, achieve impact, and lead change for sustainable development through the power of partnership.
The statement includes our commitment to diversity, how we will live up to the commitment as well as how we will hold ourselves accountable to the commitments.
